I love themes. I recently posted on HoMe looking at how I would construct a collection of five watches. It occurred to me that although this original post implied a 5-watch collection across all manufactures, it would be fun to look at it within a specifi...
don't have them but I can always dream ;-) 5070 J 5070 G 5070 R 5070 P Boring ?? NOOOOO! ….. Perfection ! :-) I can add one more I guess …. a Patek which always intrigues me is the discontinued 5135 Gondolo Calendario
Well Joe, the least we can say is that your have the talent to excite our watch purchase frenzy. Well, there are many Patek watches a majority of people here love that I don't like as they don't echo to me. It is just a question of feeling I don't want to...
.....nobody has a monopoly on good taste....we all like things for whatever reason. So, this is just about giving vent to what rings YOUR bell....and no justifications required. I think we all look at a purchase with a view to how it fits with our overall...
that's also the beauty of the exercize (and of this forum): see from others' perspective to have (sometime) a different view on watches. I fully understand your 5070/5970 challenge. I noticed the same thing about some of mine in the past (or some I could ...
a WT: 5110 and R version for legibility and an automatic chrono to complete your wonderful 5070P 5960P (just stopped) third either 5235 or a 175th anniversary model. Just 2 months wait before discovering them ;-)) Best wishes and congratulations for your ...
with 5 gorgeous watches, each among the best in their category. ... and they couldn't be more different from each others, so the variety is a richness that should fill as much as possible your appetite from watches
I can certainly see the 5550p. I really do love that watch. I would most definitely take that as part of my five. 5200? No. My wrist is too small. I have tried it on and it looks ridiculous. That's why I take the 5124 as it fits the smaller wrist better.
This is just a personal choice based on what I like and what, to me, looks great. Unlike some, I do not have orgasms over many of the popular models like the 5131. I also do not find any of the perpetuals or grand complications that desirable. So even if ...
... there is a row above that i hope will be filled with 5711P, 5235G, 5170(P), 5970P, 5131J. All very different from the 1st row, and close cousins. Then we'll have a nice big family ;)
... to get the models that suits my wrist, my lifestyle, the metal and dial colors i like, icons, various complications, top of the hill in their categories,. I might not have succeeded in every aspect but overall i am very satisfied with what i have. Whi...
You can take a Calatrava 5196Platin, a 5205g Annual Calendar and a special Nautilus 3711 in 37.. serie but completly in white gold... 500 pieces in the world Compliment a Beautiful collection..
....the 5196 or 5205, but like I said on Nautilus, I am just not a fan of the reference. On the other two, I would prefer the 5196 in P for sure. However, having said this, I feel i probably miss a world time. The 5131 is not to my taste for a few silly r...
.....both winners....but, for me it would be the 3417. And the reason i would opt there would be that my collection contains only modern Patek....so to offer something different, i would opt for vintage.
.....to be a part of my collection, a watch MUST be one that I can wear. It must also be one that gets my attention. Further, it must be one that adds something different to the overall collection. This is good and bad....since my tastes are reasonably de...
Chris, I am just not a fan of the Nautilus. I won't be rude about it, but it just doesn't work for me. On 3970 - yes, I can see that. But when I chose the 5070p over the 5970p, I made the decision that if I was to take a chrono, it would be the 5070. The ...
And seeing as you have skinny wimp wrists I'd go with a 5110 and a 35-36 mm calatrava Options include the modern with enamel dial , or you could go vintage I would go vintage , perhaps something you don't see regularly Best Imran ;)
1. Patek 5104P totally unrealistic 2. Patek 5131 unrealistic 3. 5070 or 5270 4. any perpetual patek preferably 5136 because I like a bracelet 5. any nautilus realistic 6. classic caltrava 5296 sector dial (have) or a 2526 (don't have)
....i have seriously looked at both these watches. In fact, in terms of modern Pateks, yes...these two come on my list......very high on that list. Am on list with AD for both, but as you know the 5550 has come and gone.... Excellent choices and ones I am...
