A dial is a signature. A signature is a kind of DNA. These dials are so 30ies looking that associating them to an automatic movement is just a total heresy.
The kind of heresy you can see on the new Longines Chronos which are said to be a Tribute to the Past, but which house an automatic movement and add a... Date.
The kind of heresy you can see with a Maserati powered by a diesel engine.
Once again, they would have given a modern look to their dial, the use of an auto movement wouldn't have disturbed me, but there are, already, two interesting automatic chronos from Patek, with the 5980 and the 5960.
So, the technical explanation doesn't remove the anachronism, for me, in my opinion.
And I don't even comment the use of two pushers, here, when a coaxial monopusher would have been ALSO preferrable....
But, once again, if you are not keen of ( fine ) vintage Chronos, the finest of them, my position may sound strange.
Best,
Nicolas
