Chronometre Souverain Platinum

I'm debating between a Patek 5196P and Chronometre Souverain Platinum. Both are beautiful "simple" watches with similar dial characteristics.

What I like about the Journe is the reserve du marche and exhibition back. Obviously, Patek has the advantage in name and reputation.

Both watches are about the same price. What I don't know is the reliability of the Journe and customer service provided. I have read of some reliability issues (mainly Octa) and would like to make the right decision.

Can anyone who owns (or is very familiar with) the Chronometre Souverain Platinum care to comment or even contrast the 2 watches I am comparing?

TIA!

Let me begin by saying I do love Patek and that I'm always going have a bias towards FP Journe. As for the CS vs 5196P ... well in this case there is no comparison for me. The 5196 is no doubt classic but you are paying the Patek premium for a watch that ...

I've voted already, 38mm.....

I really appreciate the thoughtful comments - very helpful, indeed. I'm curios; has anyone come across a picture of the platinum 38mm & 40mm CS Souverain side-by-side? That would be interesting to look at.
