Single fold and double fold and without a doubt I prefer the double fold I have now on my MUT.
For me it is far more comfortable.

JLC deployant help, single vs. double fold

I have the single fold deployant clasp but it isn't as comfortable as a tang due to it riding on my radius. I was wondering if this has been improved with the double (butterly) clasp design. Greg

I have the MC GMT with the stainless steel band - I do find it to be very comfortable (absolutely love the watch!). I was a previous owner of an Amvox I with the leather strap and deployment buckle. It indeed was less comfortable for me. --sancerre

...that doublefolds is shorter so it should be more comfortable. My JLC MUT was delivered with it and I am very happy with it. I have also read that some people put the strap at six o'clock at twelve and vice versa, and in that manner changes the position...

Here's the trick...

take the strap off and invert it, so that it folds "up" the way a bracelet would. This is how JLC used to mount them, but changed in '02/'03. The new way rides on the bone behind the thumb. The only minor downside will be that the logo will be upside-down...
