As for what the military has these days...its not hard to guess 
While i dont think there is any specific issued watch, but I have not seen anyone, other than may be very senior officers, wearing anything other than a G Shock..that is the universal watch of choice through all services and branches in the Army in my observation...dont know about the Navy or the Air Force. but I guess it would be true for them too
