Nice Calatrava Is it a GS you are driving ?

Thanks

No an IS.

Very elegant

 By: respo : September 18th, 2010-22:21
This Calatrava has really grown on me. Its dial is so clean and in such good contrast to the rich bezel. It is a perfect dress watch, I think. And the handwound movement is beautiful. I much prefer it to some of the other large-rotor automatic movements f...

Iconic - congratulations

At a time in your life when initial conditions are important, you have done very well from a horological standpoint. Classics are such for a reason and I'm sure this iconic timepiece will serve you well for many years to come. All the best.

Great gift,

I can not say it often enough here: the 5119 is one of the best, most beautiful PP watches you can by ! It has a very, very elaborate and perfectly sized case with a domed saphire, screwed back case in RG ---- what more can a purist ask for ! There are no...

Congratulations! nt

I can barely remember, but I know that 30 is

 By: whit : September 19th, 2010-16:04
somewhat significant...a 5119! I can only imagine what 40 will bring. Surely, a birthday to remember.

A belated Happy Birthday to you.................

I was in your shoes 20 years ago. . .

 By: mec : September 21st, 2010-08:01
. . . when my parents presented me with a 3919J (the predecessor to your 5119J) for my 30th birthday as well. It was my very first PP watch, the one that set me on the path of future acquisitions. Although since that time my collection has grown to includ...

Stunning watch

 By: watch-er : September 23rd, 2010-08:38
Stunning watch but I long to see the day dress watches return to 34/35mm. 37mm is just a tad large to my eye for such a dress watch. The 3919 was 30.5 mm wasn't it, (the same as the 3796 I have on now.) I think Patek is the lone holdout at 37mm, most have...

Thanks

 By: Signo : September 23rd, 2010-14:56
Actually, 5119 is 36mm, and 3919 is 33.5mm.

Very right !

By: COUNT DE MONET : September 23rd, 2010-15:43
I was quite disappointed with the current 5196: gorgeous to look at in the window but quite big and too flat at the wrist, sadly. Very sadly, actually. The propotions / dimensions do not work so well as the 36 mm 5119 does ! That is a still a very, very c...
