The " 2 Cents " series of shots: My Patek 5070G.

One of the toughest dial to take in picture. The depth of the dial, its color and finish are indeed very tough to render in picture. At least, the picture is funny: I wore it for the last 4 days, with great pleasure. Best, Nicolas...

I'll give you 2c

.....what i will say is that I think the dials on all of the 5070 series are quite special....very hard to capture and very alluring to own. I miss mine a great deal...not back until August.

many months to wait.

An excellent watch. Very hard to beat it.

Nightmare!

I must have taken about 200 photos trying to get a good shot of the 5070 dial. Despite the smudge at 4pm, this is probably my best rendering. ...

You have my sympathy...its a near-impossible task

But in many ways, this is the enigmatic aspect of the watch that adds so much to its appeal.

how about this one

I took this picture long ago when a friend of mine brought this 5070P with him , a fading sun gave this (imo) nice picture ...

It i hard to take in picture because of its dial. The finish is very subtle, quite refined. Best, my friend! Nicolas

About catching the dial...

 By: Fricks : June 7th, 2014-11:19
... the quality of light makes it all. Always looks nice in natural light, whether its a white clouded sky or a blue sunny one ...

Personally, I find that a cloudy sky is better for this dial ( G and P ).

 By: amanico : June 7th, 2014-12:11
The mild light gives it a less harsh, more elegant look. Best, Fricks and Bravo for this P. Nicolas

i agree, and that cloudy sky enhance the brightness of platinum...

Thank God I did not miss this one. ARRRGH definitely I'll have to get that 5070 G even if you said it is a bit large for my wrist (LOL !). As for me slowly but surely I find it more and more desirable and I hope Santa Claus will hear me ;-) Thanks for the...
