Oliver, now I need your advice: I have a mini-collection of blue-dialed watches with 240 movement. Ref. 5235G has nearly a blue dial and its movement is nearly one of the 240 versions... Do I need to add it to the collection of Golden Ellipse, 3712, 5131G...

I really like the new styled buckle, because it is very special. Just appropriate to the first PP regulator for the wrist. To get it with a "regular" Calatrava cross folding buckle is something I would definetely not like. Different tastes?! That´s fine :...  

I hear you Oliver, but I just don't like buckles on Pateks for some reason - I suppose one can't hurt!!! They just seem to hug my wrist better when on a deployment.

I was priveleged to be shown a working display 5235 watch whilst visiting PP. Sadly this watch was not for sale... but I did try!! The watch is destined for release next year with a price believed to be around 44k ChF. Unfortunately I felt it was necessar...

I managed to see the watch three times (which was not easy at all :-) ) and from my point of view the dial showes/proofes why Patek is outstanding when it comes to dials. Subtle, classic, special ... far from being boring, but still not shouting ... I lov...  

to have quite an attractive lustre through the brush finish applied on the silver-grey top coat. The Patek Philippe signature appears "engraved in" to the dial surface and filled with blue "enamel". The minute track and calibrations are applied blue paint...

to my PP jeweller in England to place my order and leave a deposit. When I said 5235, he smiled, and came back from the safe with a brand new one double-sealed in the cardboard packing box!! Unfortunately pre-sold (grrrrrrrr!!!), but the price ticket was ...

It is fantastic in the flesh, the photos really don't capture it well, the legibility and clean simplicity of the layout, and the fact that it is quite shallow makes it feel as though it wears bigger than it is (which I like as I prefer larger watches); t...

It would be a great shame if you don't take it up. Not only is it an exquisite piece, but it seems destined to be an important part of Patek's history as its first regulator. Good luck with your deliberating, but I don't think you should hang around, and ... 

For me, the 5235G is a very interesting reference and has taken PP a long term to get it right before delivery started
