5110 case with crown protection for a three hand watch.

Chunky.

Submariner for grown-ups.

I was too slow to buy one at the right time.

I like to think I\'m mostly immune to marketing-speak... ...but maybe not. ...

Lets quickly ignore...

..that marketing blurb and focus on the nice, chunky, clean PP.

Beautiful Calatrava

that seems to be a 5127? I like it a lot, next to the 5227. Legacy is not a mere thing. However, it depends on how it is used, by who etc... And in the luxury field, it is quite overused. In cultures, sport teams, Universities and so on, you have that pri...

Yes, 5127

I agree with your thoughts here. Legacy is important, especially if respected and nurtured. The spirit of the brand is indeed embodied in its products, which very much influences my purchasing habits regardless of marketing tag lines. I suspect other Puri...

It can't be your legacy

because then you would have to own the item. And as you know...you don't really own (that) Patek Philippe...

Lol!!! [nt]

And that is an excellent photo Cheers D

Thank you. The sensual curves of the piece are one of its principal attractions.

Not the best pic, to be honest...I am still very much an amateur with the iPhone camera.

Its a 5107 or a 5227? Can not tell. One thing i like about this Calatrava is that its screw down crown.

Yes, Black's Law Dictionary.

Works surprisingly well on the wrist...the so-called crown guards flow seamlessly with the case.

I think the modest size and the sensual curves of the 5110 are partly why it's becoming a bit of a pre-vintage classic for Patek fans. Cheers, John

Nice Calatrava 5107 !

Nice 5127G. Great piece. Last one I saw was at the PuristSPro gathering in Newport Beach in December 2016.

Yes, my friend, that was me :)
