Cases and lugs were so much sexier back then... I love the extruding case and aesthetics.

Nice photos! [nt]

How thick is this great looking piece ?

 By: jimjenkins : May 26th, 2014-23:50
I was a bit surprised that even it lacks center sweep seconds, it looks a bit on the thick side. Will appreciate learning its thickness in mm. Thanks. Jim

What is the thickness?

That's what I love about this piece.

and solid like a rock. Still today there are only a few which can compete, if we donĀ“t talk about thinness :-) Welcome back here, after a very long absence. Oliver

True masterpiece. The case, the movement and the layout of the dial in particular! Wonderful vintage piece to admire.

Four Brothers!

Four brothers! This photo from left to right: 3448j,3450j, 3448G and 3450j (red dot) ...

Not One but FOUR! Extraordinairy 3448s/3450s!!

 By: patekova : May 27th, 2014-08:44
Hi rolexdoc, I can't recall seeing anywhere, even in the major auction house catalogues such an extraordinairy grouping of 3448s/3450s! The photo is also beautifully done. Is that a vintage catalan radio in the background? The watches look to be in a cond...

Apparently ......

 By: tic-toc : May 27th, 2014-23:52
3450 does exsist in white metal.... so ONE more to go.

Very, very rare in WG!

By: COUNT DE MONET : May 28th, 2014-06:00
That will be a quite difficult task to find one WG 3450. According to an auction house there are only two 3450 in WG. But a lovely choice! Best Moritz

Wow!

One of my grail pieces!

What I also like is the wonderfully low key font size for the brand name.

 By: jimjenkins : June 2nd, 2014-08:53
Many recent Patek dials use much larger font sizes for the brand name and therefore look more like an advertisement piece. This may be true for other brands as well. However, that would not be a good excuse for me to accept. Changing times and staff at PP...

beautiful! [nt]
