Tonight the PuristSPro Team joined Patek Philippe for a special private cocktail party showcasing rare timepieces from the Patek watch collection. This event was held at Bar 1912 at the famous Beverly Hills Hotel on Sunset Blvd. It was a treat to have Mr....

Something tells me that you had a great time, my friend.

I miss So Cal! Best, Nicolas.

A great time, and I learned a lot about the brand

And one piece that really attracted me was the Nautilus 5980 in stainless steel and rose gold. I knew it was introduced in 2013, but it was the first time that I've seen the blue gradient dial. It was visually striking. Regards, ED-209

I agree it was vibrant and stunning

The blue dial really pops out. Regards, ED-209

I am looking forward to the special complication. Interesting they displayed the discontinued Series 1 5270 rather than one of the new versions.

LOL I try my best

:) Hi Oliver and Conkers, thanks for checking out the teaser. I just posted up a video presentation. At the 6:48 and forward part of the video you can hear the chiming of the minute repeater of the 5104P. More pics of the grand comp coming up! Regards, ED...

Thanks...

Patek Philippe collection event: Part 1, Presentation by Mr. Pettinelli

 By: ED209 : January 29th, 2014-10:17
To start the evening Larry Pettinelli, President of Patek Philippe USA, provided the guests with his insights of the Patek brand along with his thoughts on what makes Patek timepieces so special. And as a treat for everyone, he brought along a Patek 5104P...

Fantastic!

Thanks for posting, I have an urge to spend some money! Rgds Roger

Which model?

 By: ED209 : January 29th, 2014-21:03
Thanks Roger, the one that really impressed me the most (other than the grand comp) was the Nautilus 5980 with the blue dial. Stunning. Which Patek are you considering? Regards, ED-209

3 actually!

I have three additions to my PP collection on my radar screen - all are proving difficult! 5131G and J and 5070P.

You're welcome snipermaverick

More pics coming up. ps - I really like the name snipermaverick. You should post some of your 'hardware' on our TimeOut forum :) Regards, ED-209

Larry Pettinelli speaks about limited availability, but

at all the AD's I see more and more pieces that were hard to get before. I hope Patek is not becoming a pure marketing show.

I see a few more

 By: ED209 : January 30th, 2014-22:18
I think that it's great that more 'harder' pieces are now available at the AD's. Which ones have you seen? Regards, ED-209

Patek Philippe Collection Event Part II: Photos of the 5104P

 By: patrick_y : January 30th, 2014-23:26
Here are some photos that fellow moderator ED209 and I had the pleasure of taking at the event. Apologies for the quality of the photos, wasn't easy to take these photos in the dim lighting of Bar 1912 within the iconic The Beverly Hills Hotel. The always...

A highly complicated, sophisticated & wearable piece ...

which I never had the pleasure to handle. Something I have to work on ;-) The reference 5104 Grand Complication in platinum with a minute repeater and a perpetual calendar with a retrograde date indicates the date and the moon age, as well as the day of t...

I didn't ask...

Rats. I didn't ask for a wrist shot. Should've gotten a wrist-shot when I was in Geneva when I was at the boutique. I personally love the 5074P. That's my grail watch.

 By: ED209 : January 31st, 2014-09:15
The staff at Patek really knows how to throw a party. The atmosphere was elegant yet comfortable and relaxing. It was great chatting with Mr. Pettinelli and several of the local Patek AD's and representatives. This was geared as a cocktail party but we we...

Look at that!

All that food! Hey, look at that picture frame for the Calatrava and 175 drinks. Those picture frames have the Calatrava cross!
