We have seen and discussed both watches before, but I had the pleasure to take more pictures and wanted to share them with you. I will start with the Ref. 5200 ... ... and next is the Ref. 5270. Lets start with a nice side view ... ... before we have a l...

A questioning the 5200. You include the words "fitting wrist". And that is my big concern for the watch. It is a fantastic watch. It would figure very high, if not right at the top, of my wish list for this year IF it fitted. It requires a fairly big wris...

The wrist shown above ...

is from Magnus, but on mine (17cm) it looked like this: Too big for my taste :-( Hope that helps! Oliver ...

Exactly my point.

My wrist is small, and regardless how much I like this watch, it looks ridiculous on me. Shame.

Great pics

that blue looked fabulous.....is it the same blue as the VC overseas chrono? anyways, not sure about the pregnant sub dial but can't complain about the colour.

Thank you Oliver for the great pics and...

You did it again with your great shots Oliver! I'm not a square watch guy so not inspired by the 5200 which, nevertheless, seems very nice. But what appeals to me a lot here is the 5270. I was wondering what I would think of the all blue arrangement, i.e....

"I guess the blue is different"

Both look different all the time and I had not the chance to compare them side by side, so I have to guess as well :-) Sorry and thanks! Oliver

Beautiful Pictures. Incredible photography of one of my favorite watches 5270g blue. The 8 day may be large on me as well. Looking forward to trying it on

are perfect. I prefer this watch, as it does not look as if too much is happening on the dial. The wristshot looked the best but looking at the other threads I was disappointed to see that you need a big wrist. (Not that I'm planning on getting one soon) ...

"done an analysis of the average wrist size worldwide?"

 By: small-luxury-world : February 17th, 2014-23:08
Well, maybe someone has done it that way. Maybe it is just much easier/cheaper to produce "impressive" watches in bigger sizes. Maybe some are not able (not anymore) to produce smaller watches and especially not with complications inside. Maybe it´s just ...

With lots of substance too. Extremely well crafted and finished movements, dials and case. Thank you Oliver for the post. Love your photos of both blue beauties. Your photos really bring out the best of Patek's fine workmanship. It's all these details tha...

Robin I agree with you, but not only when it comes to PP :-) Cheers, Oliver

Superb pictures....

.....if i had a larger wrist, the 5200 would be a certainty for me.

Beautiful photos as ever Oliver!

But if I may be slightly controversial and say I think I prefer the 5100 to the 5200. I haven't had the privilege of trying the latter, so I will reserve judgement but that's my initial take. As for the 5270 blue face, if it didn't have the pregnant tach ...

Love the blue dial

Dear friends, Patek's blue dial is mesmerizing. Now 5270 new blue dial is my grail so I could pair it with my 5960. Have a nice weekend. Warm regards, Bom ...
