 By: small-luxury-world : March 26th, 2014-14:53
new models/variants like Ref. 5960/1A, 5990/1A, 5951P ... Let´s have a first look on the new Nautilus Travel Time Chronograph in steel, which replaces all former Nautilus chronographs in steel. Ref 5960/1A First impression: I like it a lot, for several re...

Ref. 5271P-001 is quite interesting, perhaps the MOST interesting

And here is why It looks like it has the dial of a 5970 and abandons the mishaps fo the 5270 dials - So it has the tachy like the new dial 5270, but not the "chin" or "bump" at 6 o clock - It also has a different layout for the numbers on the tach (they g...

I told Thierry the chin had to go

Glad he listed! Best dial yet!

If you are the one that convinced him

 By: alphabeta81 : March 27th, 2014-07:21
Then I thank you from the bottom of my heart =) The 5271 dial is so much better, in fact I may like it more than the 5970 dial (!!)

Yes.

.

Yippie!

as an owner of a 5980/1A white dial I couldn't be more happy :-)

Yes!

 By: Park : March 26th, 2014-15:21
Oliver, I'm already taken with the 5960/1-A. It solves the problem of wearing the previous 5960s in heat and humidity. As an owner of several variants of this reference, I'm very pleased that the dial is so different from the others. Thank you for the qui...

In that case Park ...

I am quite sure you will love it. Best, Oliver

Some unexpected watches.

By: Mark in Paris : March 26th, 2014-15:24
I was wrong on my "guess list" (Where did you put my RG 5711 pictures?) I love Nautiluses so I might be biased, but I really like this 5990. The dial remains clear and light in spite of the number of information needed. The hands are thin and the dial is ...

Mark, look carefully

 By: alphabeta81 : March 26th, 2014-15:32
The 5271 is does not only show was a black dial 5270 could be (without the "belly") --- there are other major changes that are more to the DNA of the 2499 and 5970! Patek is telling us all something.

Thanks Oliver, I like the 5940G

 By: cisco : March 26th, 2014-15:39
I loved the J which was one of the nicest novelty when it came, this understated version is superb as well. For the rest, not my cup of tea. And that 5960A is really... special... François (controlling his words)

5270P Black dial..

 By: bulliondesk : March 26th, 2014-16:46
No diamonds.. Will be a home run if they keep this exact dial.

Thanks oliver...

 By: Fricks : March 26th, 2014-16:49
... nautilus looks great, but especially happy about the 5271P. Seems like the chin is gone, that's promising for the future pieces

Will keep this one, when I can find a plain 3 hands less costly piece.

5990/1A-001and 5960/1A

 By: w220 : March 26th, 2014-18:57
Seems Patek have gone full retard with the design of the 5990/1A-001and 5960/1A. The 5960/1A is particularly bad. Are they going through some kind if identity crisis over there in Geneva? While I applaud Patek for brining out steel watches, these two does...

What did they do to the Nautilus???

 By: shortys home : March 27th, 2014-10:04
Even with worst intentions, could you do more harm to the wonderful Nautilus design than Patek did with this new version? Just my 2c.... Henrik

3 things come to my mind

 By: Bruno.M1 : March 26th, 2014-22:50
1 ) the Nautilus chrono GMT is a very nice watch and I think 'only' 5 K more than the previous Nautilus without the GMT function , so an acceptable price … or they realized the discontinued nautilus was too expensive :-) 2) The stall 5960 … not my cup of ...

5951P… WOW

 By: keks : March 26th, 2014-22:56
for a mere mortal like me completely out of reach… for now at least, one has to dream. Was not a fan of the previous 5951P with red hands but these 2 are simply wow, wow, wow. Amazing. Thanks for posting pics. The 5960/1A clearly everybody will love or ha...

5960/1a - "everything about it tells me to dislike it but I want one…badly"

 By: Ornatus-Mundi : March 27th, 2014-02:49
how true, how true - looking froward to tomorrow to finally see it in the metal… Cheers, Magnus

Among the ones I can afford I like...

 By: drphileasfogg : March 27th, 2014-00:01
the Nautilus dual time, the dial has a nice symmetry and these days that is not a given. Not sure I wanted a chrono but price is good. The annual calendar chrono in steel can be appealing because it is steel and by definition really wearable BUT the dial ...

Nice report Oliver ...

 By: AbuLayan : March 27th, 2014-03:45
Thanks for the nice pics too. Khalid

Very promising for PP

Thank you for the great report Oliver. The Nautilus Travel Time Chronograph will definitely be a big hit. I love it already! So many watches... so limited funds. :( Been saving up since SIHH! :) cheers robin

I believe the watch to be quite thick but beautiful. ...

Of course some more height was needed ...

 By: small-luxury-world : March 27th, 2014-07:44
but it works perfect even on my smaller wrist. A lot of work went into the case solution and I think it was worth the effort.

bracelet seems to be thicker too ?

 By: Bruno.M1 : March 27th, 2014-09:38
which would be better if it is indeed thicker I really like that watch a lot!

Bracelet

By: Mark in Paris : March 27th, 2014-09:44
Hey Bruno, I remember the 5980's bracelet was much thicker than the 5711 or 5712 and even the 5726 but I don't know if the 5990's one is the same. I guess it is at least as thick as the 5980's one, which is a good thing. Cheers, Mark

5950/1A

 By: el1125 : March 27th, 2014-07:14
5950/1A for me with either the Blue or Beige Vintage Dial color. Looks REALLY nice from the images. Any idea on price? Also am liking the 5960/1A. 2 references in Stainless Steel. Who would have thought?

They are indeed very appealing

By: Mark in Paris : March 27th, 2014-07:22
Steel offer is indeed quite refreshing and allows pricing to remain controled compared to gold. Cheers, Mark

...

I've seen mixed (and mainly negative) views on this watch,

 By: Luis6 : March 28th, 2014-19:04
but personally I love it!The dial looks refreshing and lively with those red hands, newly designed fonts and steel bracelet.

It is definitely the watch we didn't expect from Patek

By: Mark in Paris : March 29th, 2014-03:34
Thus it needs a little time to digest it and time will tell if it is a good move or if it will remain aiming particular areas of the world... Thanks for your input Luis. Cheers, Mark

I hated it at first....

 By: daytonaman799 : March 29th, 2014-13:46
But it's really growing on me. It reminds me of the recent one model auction perp cal split second chrono in titanium. I think it's sporty and dressy at the same time. As an aside. The sleeper big money future watch is now going to be the 5980 with the wh...

Mark, thanks for your support!

Don't need to be St Valentine's day to make a joint gift

The black dialed 5140 is a great classical and complicated watch indeed.

Anniversary

PP must be saving the really good stuff for the anniversary.

5951P white dial

 By: watch-er : March 27th, 2014-17:48
seems to me to best be the best of the offerings. I wonder if it will be more available than the 5951P which to my knowledge was not even sold in the US.
