Guys, i have not been for a while here so i was missing all of you and happy to find some time to come back to this lovely place. I have an idea to sell my 5205G with dark face and buy 5205R with white (actually its creamy) dial. Would you sell G version ... 

....i need to know some of the background to why you are thinking of doing this.....it will make a big difference to my answer as otherwise its just a question of personal taste etc...is there something that you prefer about R vas G?

first of all its very hard to match this watch with the suites and shirts... The only color of the suit which is works well is charcoal grey. It does not work with navy blue or blue suites at all. I have quite brown skin and rose gold looks much better on... 

....then yes, a swap seems to be the right thing. I did exactly the same thing regarding a 5110y to a 5110G.

I have also been away and that continues. I just had a quick look. I would not change. The reason is that red gold in my mind is more like a fashion item; it comes, goes and comes back again. Steel, platinum and white gold always look more or less the sam...

Since you have 5127R already, I would keep 5205G. It gives some variety in your collection. No? That's what I did, anyway.

I have the 5205R in white dial. It's a gorgeous watch. I choose this over the 5205G as my first PP. ...

need to see both side by side, try them on in natural light to see what works best with your skin tone. as for fashion yes Kari is right, everything is coloured these days but saying that, the rose case, creamy dial and brown strap work wonderfully togeth... 

Tried rose gold version today again and now i have new concern - what if they will produce the white gold version with white face?:) Or, to sell 5205G and buy perpetual 5140 in rose gold with creamy face. Tough choice anyway

understand that you need your own... This happened to me with my idea to swap G for R. I have tried 5205R yesterday and today and i am happy that my passion just gone away... Its just another rose gold blinking watch. I do not want to change anything. I t...  

I also have the 5205G dark dial and this spring wondered "should I have waited for R" ? But NO! Of course a new colour will appeal to you for a while, sometimes even more, but that is JUST BECAUSE IT IS NEW.

But also depends on how big of a hit you'll take in that trade...

Ed, I remember you advised me in the past to buy but never sell. I agree with you. If you trade that watch for 5205R, you will take a bath and will ultimately regret it. Your 5205G is beautiful since it has a two tone dial which is far more exciting than ...

A perpetual calendar is something different than the AC - also much slimmer. It would be a great idea of having 5140 in all metals. Start from this: Best, Kari ...

a more versatile metal , no ? Watch model aside, under adequate lighting, a G could look like an R but never the other way round ! So 5205G and you have a "chameleon".
