X'mas gift to my watch so that she has a companion for generations to come !!

 By: GLau : December 16th, 2014-07:46
Fortunate enough to get an allocation of the 5575G which was just in time for it to be a X'mas gift to 5131G as a sibling. Previously I responded to 5575 posts by others about how I felt about it. Hence, this post is about sharing more photos. Cheers, Gor...

Congratulations!

Very very nice, congrats

I was a bit disappointed with the readability of 5131G. What would you say; is the readability of the anniversary piece better? Best, Kari

Hi Kari, after only wearing it on my wrist for a short time, the legibility is

 By: GLau : December 16th, 2014-09:18
better than I thought previously. Readability depends on how one positions the watch to get the best lighting. I find 5131 fairly good because the color of the hands is different than the enamel background. IMO, 5575 and 5131 pieces are mainly about craft...

...having the world and sky on your wrist !! great photos !! BTW, how is your hunt for 5575 coming along ? Is your AD willing to ask 5575 clients to swap 5575 for your 5975??

Hard to get now

 By: watch-fan : January 5th, 2015-15:21
AD siad he will try his best. It is hard to persuade 5575G owner to give up his watch. Maybe AD will give me 5131R when it is available if I don't have 5575G. Tell you the truth, I like 5131G more.

Please let me know which photo looks best. Also, can you spot which two are the same (as I inadvertently upload a photo twice) ? Cheers, Gordon 1 2 3 4 ...

I like the second one because

 By: alwoo888 : January 18th, 2015-21:39
the foreground is darker, and the magnification is not so large (but large enough for the moon detail) which allows for more of the sky to be seen. This also makes the stars less prominent and therefore more realistic.
