Would you mind citing your sources?

In one of my previous posts, I inquired if you happened to work in the industry, perhaps for Patek Philippe or Tiffany & Co?  Would you mind citing your sources?

I can say with certainty that I have seen a 5130G stamped at Tiffany & Co. San Francisco that was for sale during late summer 2013.

 By: EDJA : July 21st, 2014-23:24
Saying this i mean did they stopped to put GUBELIN and Wempe logos on their watches? I had a conversation with Tiffany SA in NY and he mentioned that Tiffany is the only retailer now who has the right to put TIFFANY name on the dials. Any information woul...

you always win some and lose some so do not be too hard on yourself !! focus on the next big catch, such as a 175th anniversary piece !! Good luck with your next one

was only for anniversaries, if at all. I am not aware of anything else. So there is no change in that case! Cheers, Oliver

Which Tiffany Sales Advisor said what?

 By: patrick_y : July 22nd, 2014-12:13
And in what context? You do need to make sure you quote the sales advisor correctly and give the context. In general, Tiffany & Co. is the only retailer who can consistently have their names stamped on dials. The stamping is often done crooked on many...

Tiffany Stamp

Now, now, now.....let's not be harsh. The FACT is that Tiffany IS the only company to consistently co-brand on the watches since they are the oldest American relationship since 1851. Hence the reason the Salon is in Tiffany as opposed to free standing on ...

I definitely appreciate all your enthusiasm, and anyone's enthusiasm. But there are always urban legends that are not true. Nobody was accusing anyone of "spewing" false information. However, the context may have been incorrect. Do you work for Patek Phil...

Ummm.....

The 5130 can not be stamped.....have they? Yes. A mistake on the part of the stamper that day. The owners of those stamped 5130's are very happy. As far as Patek Philippe's involvement.....for the branch stores, they are not involved. Hence the reason the...

I understand that. As I mentioned, the 5130 was a mistake. Not supposed to be stamped. My sources are straight from the Salon.

"consistently co-brand on the watches"

 By: small-luxury-world : July 24th, 2014-11:07
It if would be something "really" rare it could be interesting for (serious) collectors. "Consistently" doesn´t help for me here, but it´s not up to me to judge. Some vintage pieces are interesting ... Only in a very few cases I would accept Tiffany on my...
