Feel that an essential brand is missing in my humble collection. Ovi

I do not really get one point:

 By: dr.kol : October 4th, 2014-14:10
It seems that Breguet is quite under valued in this forum. I have read comments type "the movement would be better behind solid back", etc. Most of Breguet movements are nicely finished and often the dials are spectacular. Furthermore, the history of Breg...

I agree Kari... [nt]

... Patek cufflinks with a Brequet watch = interesting mix and match !! Brequet is excellent in the guilloche dials and I just love the "coin" case engraving. Swatch has revived this brand well, along with Jacquet Droz. Hope your 5131 has seen its fair sh...

to be honest, all of my PP have pretty much resting for months. I am in a way back to where I was 30 years ago: I enjoy going to the shower wearing the watch, I enjoy when I do not have to be careful with the watch. In short I have been enjoying wearing d...

 By: patekova : October 6th, 2014-08:06
Hi Kari, Welcome back! Like yourself over the last few months between summer heat/humidity and spending more time with my young daughter during her summer recess from school, I found my self putting the Pateks aside most days and wearing steel Rolexes. Th...

Hi, I bought a new white dial Daytona, blue Yacht-Master and the Batman. In addition two vintage plexy Rolexes and a semi-vintage GMT. At the moment I'm working with two more vintage Submarines. Difficult task because I want to get my watches with box and...

Are contemporary Pateks falling out of favor with some collectors?

 By: patekova : October 7th, 2014-14:23
Hi Kari, Thanks for your reply. It is interesting to me that a very nice collection of stainless steel sport Rolexes can be purchased for the price of one Patek Annual calendar. For me, while Patek is Patek, I sense that some formerly fervent purchasers o...

Thank you for your thoughts.

 By: dr.kol : October 7th, 2014-23:06
It is true that with the price of a new PP annual calendar, it is possible to buy i.e. a nice collection of modern Rolexes. The price is, like you stated, one thing. The other one is (more as a question): how special the modern standard Patek movements ac...

I find this Breguet really something special but what else one could expect from a 200 year old design. Furthermore, it's stunning together with my wife's Reine de Naples. Best, Kari
