and the photographs are spectacular. I just have a small correction: the platinum watch with the black dial was made in 25 examples for the Japanese market. One of them did belong to a collector based in Taiwan, which may be where the confusion comes in. ...

Notice, with the platinum case one gets 4 screws to fasten the case back to the case, here a snap back! A small detail... A classic chronograph, elegant & timeless. Congrats on getting that wonderful version, I love it. Cheers, Tim...

Another great find, 4 years ago... Indeed, the Salmon dial adds some Exclusivity, some Elegance and refunement to these 2 watches. But, IMO, the VC is a bit above, even more exclusive, and a bit more elegant. best! Nicolas

great post, ill have to admit i stopped reading and become mesmerized by the pictures... the pushers seem to be a different metal on your piece, are they different or just the pictures showing up odd on my laptop? that dial layout is superb, i was gawking...
Pulsometer dial versus telemetric dial
I do notice a version of VC chronograph bearing a pulsometer dial instead of the telemetric dial. Any data on how many Les Historiques" made with pulsometer dial? Larry
