Sorry - couldn't find this information. Wasn't sure if the standard equipment for the 5146p is a platinum pin buckle or white gold deployant clasp or what... Platinum is very costly and I wasn't sure if you needed to pay extra for that option. Sorry for t...

Seen it both ways.

just remember the classic tang in more secure. Ever seen that famous video of Sarkozy shaking hands with a man in the crowd?

states the watch comes with the "fold over clasp" their term for the deployant clasp. Rest assured the price is built in so you are always paying for it.

Yes, the website does indicate current models come with the foldover clasp

Since I hope to acquire the 5146p in pre-loved condition I surely hope that previous year models also came standard with the deployant/foldover. BTW I watched the Sarkozy video - and I wasn't nearly as entertained as I expected! ;-) I know it's an old vid...

I'm glad you saw it...

Thanks for the response, Robert. Personally speaking, I greatly prefer the ease and elegance of the deployant, but for the quality time piece you requested I can only give a colleague the same advice for myself : please think of your comfort and security....
