A bit more info about .... the Nautilus 5711 ....Platinum

We heard many rumors, others hoped for a platinum icon

Not so long ago a picture popped up. So yes, it does exist

Now the question seems to be, how many were made, are they available ? Can I order one .... or was it a piece unique ?

Well, I can share you this information which I got from 3 different people ( being my AD and 2 people who work for Patek. The 5711P is not a piece unique They made a very small numer of them, one source about 10 , another said 15. They were made only for the Patek salons  .... BUT they will be made for the regular dealers too. The number will be very limited. It is not a limited edition but know that they won't or can't make a few hundred of them per year, probably a few dozen per year. The price is CHF 85K or almost the same as a 5960P which  has an anual calendar + chrono.  So the 5711P is a super  nice and discrete watch  but if you can get a 5960P for almost the same price ...  not an easy choice anymore. Do you want to pay for rarity or do you prefer to get complications for that price ?

That is a matter of choice .....

...... if I have to choose ? I take the Nautilus. Considering there is probably about 2500+ pieces of pp 5960PT , not including rose gold already in the market. But at the quoted price as stated by you ... certainly, it is also a $$$ factor. I thank YOU s...

know that

know that most AD are not aware (yet) of this piece. I mailed with some people / friends all over the world and they asked more info via their AD ...All of them got the answer that they are not aware of a 5711P :-)

It is just sooooo ....

adorable. I just love the idea and it must be "real pain" to produce it in platinum. Even in steel, lots of skills & time are needed to produce such an outstanding bracelet and case. For sure it is not a bargain, but maybe a bargain for what it is. Ju...

I got more or less the same info

As for the choices, u can get a 5960P and a 5711A for the same price. That being said, I wish that had a 5726P with a blue dial. That would be to die for

Its amazing how subtle...

Patek Philippe can be, the 5711p is exceptional ;) the weight and feel is so so good the little diamond at the bottom with the simplicity of the dial works miracles... Enjoying every minute of it ...

platinum shines bright, but with this level of finishing, its as good as it can be. Do you have a pics of the dial where we can see how different it is from the steel version? Congratulations and wear it in good health

It looks amazing ...

But 85 K chf exquisite? I am not so sure. I love the watch for its simplicity and beauty. Thks for sharing with us. Best Iceman

"simplicity and beauty" is the key for sure ...

but we should not forget about the additional efforts (more powerfull machines, extra skills, extra t i m e ...) needed to produce it. I guess the "business case" is much better for PP if they sell any other regular production watch for the same amount of...

The SS 5711 is a great daily beater. I would not wear a P every day.

Someone loves his daily beater 5711/1A!!!

 By: Aussie : July 29th, 2013-10:16
if yes, from the Geneve Salon only or is it available to the US market. Or should I stop dreaming. It is a heck of a watch and on very high on my wish list. It seems that I only get to admire these special references in photos instead of my wrist. Maybe o...
