It was great - the sales assistant took a lot of time and let me try on several 5196, 5396 and 5130 (I forgot his name; a young, soft-spoken chap with a slight East German accent, very polite and knowledgable). In short - now I know that I want the 5196 in WG and the 5130 in RG. The 5396 and also the 5123 look hideous on my wrist and the wide bezel also seems to be prone to accidential scratches. 

So, 5196G and 5130R it is now - am scanning the ads on Chrono24 but might buy the 5196 from Wempe because the price difference between new and used ones is not very big for 5196s and there are none in Germany on the market at the moment at all. And I dont want to wait. With the 5130 - different story.

The sales assistant gave me the latest PP catalogue but it is not very useful - it is heavy like a brick, more like a hard-cover book. 

So, a great day and great experience at a main dealer.

The only thing to complain about - they should really think about upgrading their piped music system - either turn it off altogether, or upgrade it with subwoofers. It sounds like a cheap radio and does not go along the overall atmosphere.
