GP in neitherland

IMO GP is in neither world-too big to survive like independent brands on collectors who do appreciate its value and watches;too small to truly go international-budget/promotion wise etc to convince normal consumers.

It used to have similar "DNA" like Patek-independence&history with some high horology achievements but perhaps it lacks focus&control-skill of balancing demand&supply like Patek.

Apparently it has gone into a coma after Gucci/PPR purchase of a stake from Mr.Macalusos although it did come up with some fine new watches like the 1966 lines.I think most of us are waiting to see what happen next--more mass marketed like Guccis or confined to  a niche supporting Gucci like what Bulgari did on their acquisitions.

As GP watches lover,I do hope to see some changes in management or direction firmed up asap.

arthur I can't agree more. it is a wonderful in its appearance and performance. It has been totally overlooked by people. I got the rubber strap. I had it rinsed under a running tap the other night. it was perfect. so the 50m surface swim ok is correct. w...

GP is slowly changing

Hi, IMO GP is slowly changing (and I don't think it needs to change faster). They have a more refined range today than a few years back. They make beautiful, reliable watches with a discreet italian elegance. They have horological marvels and are indeed l...
