With the Chinese getting richer,they have a long history of craftmanship appreciation and collecting portable arts(easily exchangeable for cash in times of troubles-which are often in its long history),I think this year is just a temporary set back for the high end watch industry.

China's high end watch demand

Sorry for this late post. Being often traveller to China,I agree with Thomas and my comment was on China's high end watch demand.Not mid or low. Agree that the normal folks wont give a damn about what watch when they havent 'make it'-senior or rich enough...
