Mainspring exercise
May 24, 2010,02:13 AM
many have pointed out that for better accuracy, its better to keep the watch fully winded/constant torque.
What about for longevity of the say automatic mainspring/watch? Is it better to let the mainsping nearly fully winded down and up again/"exercises" to be stronger? over the power reserve duration--say wear/wind it just before zero power reserve every 2 days-normal automatic watches/PR duration? or still better to wear fully winded most of the time?
I just love to see the PR indicator moves/goes up&down.
thanks,
