Does your MR reset spot on or are there times you have to push the button more than once?

Mine does. Push and release, resets every time. Is there an issue with yours?

I hope this does not sound stupid, but are you sure you are pushing the button in all the way? Don't be dainty with it, firm push and release.

I experienced this when handling it a second time at my AD

I believe I pushed all the way but there was an issue with the reset. Maybe I did not push correctly - anyhow it got stuck in my mind so currently I am waiting to see the new zero complications timepiece presented at w&w....

I saw it on a few youtube reviews. The button needs to be released right after pushing. Just a push and let go, should reset no problem.

If you don't push it firmly all the way in, it will not reset all the way. I put my thumb opposite the pusher and works every time.
