Jaeger-LeCoultre: Fascinating read. I appreciate your perspectives and openness. I do not fully agree with all of your comments but respect your opinions.

I am pleased the brand is finally thinking about the Duometre lineand I hope this is the harbinger of more interesting models. Would love to see other complications in the line (I have a few in mind). I have made my choice to keep up my sampling.

Independents: Thanks. I have seen several otter pieces he has done. I

must admit that I am a much bigger fan of his dials than his movement work.

Chopard: I share your joy in this piece. I have known and followed Chopard for many years. I have come close but couldn't pull the trigger. When I saw the first

pictures of the 1860 I jumped at it without a second thought. I have enjoyed it since I brought it home in September. Frankly, preferred it over the Alpine Eagle but that one is not too shabby either. Enjoy Mitch

Ulysse Nardin: Don’t despair. With age comes refined taste as you refine what gives you inner joy.

Never think that you won’t care. Of course you will. I believe that this world of watches holds something for everyone. The issue is finding one’s own taste and not that of others.
