Patek Philippe: Yes I was thinking along the lines of Patek certified pre owned with the AD

so that if your customers who had bought the Patek piece a few years back could upgrade from say 5205 to 5320 or 5270 just like how a Porsche customer could upgrade from say 718 to 911. It keeps the piece within the local AD and rewards the customer for their loyalty in returning the piece to them d

Patek Philippe: This is why

I have taken my custom elsewhere and enjoying such a refreshing and pleasant experience with Ferrier, Moser and Parmagiani.

Patek Philippe: I understand

what you are saying but you shouldn’t just start from scratch and have no communication at all. Even an invitation to enquire elsewhere would have been nice, but nothing. For what its worth, before I moved elsewhere I was told I would not accepted at another AD in same country as not local funny

Patek Philippe: That’s a good poin.

That’s a good point. My thoughts are you shouldn’t be left in the lurch when your AD loses the relationship. You should be invited to shop at the nearest AD and your interest list and purchased piece history should carry over to the next. Like with Ferrari or Porsche etc you’re not just left hanging

Patek Philippe: It would be fun if there was a lull in conversation

at the dinner, to suddenly pipe up, Hey Thierry, so Cubitus, wtf is that all about?? Oh, ok I’ll get my coat..

Patek Philippe: I’m in the same boat, considering Ferrier also

And have stopped going into Patek ADs as lost enjoyment visiting them. Another reason, I’m not interested in any production pieces the last few releases.

Patek Philippe:

This perhaps doesn’t happen in Europe but it definitely happens elsewhere with both Rolex and Patek. Bundling with other brands and diamonds jewellery is quite commonplace.

Patek Philippe: I would walk out the store

When they ask these kind of questions. None of their business. Save yourself a substantial amount and buy from a reputable third party / dealer. They sure know how to ruin what should be a special experience these ADs.
