I can only hope for more..

Well, we are also bringing out our own experiences.
Julian, Wouldn't you be happier if everyone had the same experience?! I am sure you would.
At the same time, I want to bring out a funny point.
When I posted my thread last week, some people had doubts that I might have been making the whole thing up;
funny thing, I don't see anyone here with a post such as;
" AFW, I hope you are not making this up. I cannot believe the service center helped you out in 40 minutes."
I am just kidding.
Great news AFW and your piece is beautiful.

I had my watchmaker service and repair my 2526 recently. He did a complete overhaul and changed the rotor arbor and stem. I needed the original crown and a new crystal as well. Since I was travelling to N.Y.City I took the watch along to take to Patek AD....

No wonder you are a happy camper!! Wow magnificent

...looks like this. You can occasionally find them used for around $400-$500. A newer 14 mm (which is a bit pointy halfway down the buckle) can be had for around half that. Good news on the crystal and crown. I had the crown on my 2526 replaced at my last...

The dial is original Patek dial. The watchmaker at H. Stern said it was not porcelain but it looks too good to be just paint. I may try to test it on the very edge with a sharp point. Porcelain will not give but paint will. I will have make the buckle rat...
