I've never actually done that...

Watched the date fly-back.  I'm surprised it happens so long after the hour.  And I know exactly the emotion yoou speak of, when you talk about acquiring many great pieces quickly.  It's a strange thing to capture so much and be so fortunate.  It couldn't happen to a more decent fellow Steve, as you're obviously grounded enough to appreciate how fortunate you really are.  Enjoy this great piece, I bought mine and then immediately began collecting 5050's. Then deciding between baton or roman dials on the 5050's.  It's a disease. But the healthiest disease I can think of. Enjoy.

Well, here is my first shot at posting some photos. New Year's Eve was a reflective evening for me; a low-key night with wife and kids. I am a little more than one year into a love affair with fine watches that few people outside of message boards like th...

Lucky you able to own these fine pieces! To me, an additional good fate on top of 'wealth' is needed to complete such acquisition, and you got both! Well done. Wish you best in 2010! Mech.

Great shots Steve! Happy New Year!

All purists are somewhat 'insane', so if we need a more complicated watch than a JLC Hybris Mechanica à Grande Sonnerie to tell more than time, a slightly cheaper Casio will put all our insanities to shame! We can use this to mock at those 'sane' maj...

Great shot Steve

for the kind words, Quan. Can you explain your observation regarding the moonphase? We had full moon on 12/31 at 2:15PM where I live. I have always just tried to make sure my moon was centered in the window at that time. How can you tell I am two days off...

Hi Steve, Don't worry, you won't be saved (at least here)! Enjoy your watches and thank you for sharing your 5159. I really love that one. Have a great 2010 year! Cheers Dje

The 5159G is one of my favourites. And too see your photos of the annual change makes me even more envious. Only a few weeks now before the next big "Watching Event"
