My understanding...

If you have a 5167/1a (steel bracelet), you can buy a rubber band with buckle for interchange.

However, if you buy a 5167a (rubberband), you CANNOT buy a steel bracelet in general.

5167 question

I have a very simple question that may have been answered before but I could not find it anywhere. Are the tropical band and bracelet interchangeable on this reference? In other words if I get the bracelet model, can I seamlessly have a tropical strap put...

Welcome here!

Yes, you can change from bracelet to rubber strap and vice versa. The rubber strap is reasonably priced by Patek standards but the folding clasp is not. But if you have both bracelet and rubber, you will have like two different watches. Best, Kari

Perfect

at least for recent production. I carefully checked my friend's 5167/1A and wife's 5087/1A. And I was disappointed about the craftsmanship of the bracelet. If you spend $1200 to get the rubber strap and clasp, chances are you probably will never go back t...

I could not agree more.

Thank you Kari. I learned this at a cost. I have 5167A and never thought of a bracelet. But wife spent $1250 to get a pair of rubber straps and a steel clasp ($1000+!). She said thus she would have both worlds. She waited for 4 months to get them for HSWA...

Don't worry, I made the same mistake.

I bought 5167 with bracelet and later the strap + folding clasp. I sold the watch because there was somebody else's name on the Certificate and bought (nearly with the same money) a new from Tiffany. However, this time I did not take the bracelet because ...

You are lucky Kari

I had my honeymoon trip in 2011 to Hawaii and I went there back last summer with my wife and small daughter. On the first trip we bought quite a lot of jewellery for my wife but nothing for me. I wanted to get a nice souvenir from Honolulu and Bob, aka Ma...

I just had a late reply for your question. It depends on the Serial Number! Before, they don't, but after they do. I don't know what is this number but I'm sure if you visit or contact by phone a Salon with your Serial Number they will tell you. Welcome o...

Thank You !!

Thanks for the information. That is very helpful. I have been searching for the 5167 with the tropical strap with no success. I was tempted to get the 5167 with the bracelet then switch it out. However, I finally found the one I wanted. Fortunately, I onl...
