Steel 5960 or 5205

First I wanted to buy a nice white gold 6000. But after reading the big catalogue over and over again, I upped the ante ;-) What do you guys think about the steel 5960 and will be it be as special as the older steel Pateks. Some people think the steel 596...

Both are nice and IMO your choice depends on what complications you want

I would not count on 5960 selling higher than retail as the key decision factor Even if it does sell higher than retail in the beginning, its regular production over time (I think) is likely to bring it back down to retail.

5960/1A

The 5960/1A will certainly be a popular watch. But I think Patek will be able to keep up with the demand as it is neither a new reference or a new movement. It will certainly appeal to many collectors for being produced in SS metal for a complicated non-s...

Sometimes it seems it is not good ...

to have too many options :-) Take your time, trust in you and listen to your own taste. Oliver

Get the one you truly want...

Both are quite different. For me the answer will be both the 5205R with black dial and the 5960 1A. I can tell you both are quite hard to get if you are also looking at a 5205R with black dial. Patek has a year wait on the 5205R black and from what I hear...

5235

Now the 5235 is also on my list. I really gotta make up my mind soon haha. But its hard to buy when you almost only get to see the Watch in the collection book and not in person

Nice..
