Well I understand your 5 choices are all limited edtiions.

I just thought, what the heck, just list your own favorite 5.  It just happens the top 3 coincide with yours!  Cheers, from England Manager.  :-D

1 of only 5 pieces produced which if you're gonna go against standard RM philosophy of minimal weight by producing them in Platinum, you may as well REALLY go against it. The setting of the stones on this watch were artistry as was the movement constructi...

and have had it on my wrist, so it's no. 1 for me. The 009 comes next as it's so light with the alusic material & one I drooled over. The others, not seen in the metal, so cannot rate them.

Order of desirability: RM006 RM001 RM009 RM027 RM012 All others, apart from the 12 were built with sport/endurance as the end use goal. Prefer that in my RM. Close call, but the RM006 was such a special piece and only 20 pieces. RM001 special because it w...

I beg to differ because....

Just because something was the start, and even ltd in numbers it doesn't actually mean that much. Indeed If you look at early pieces in the vintage market, such as 1920s Oysters / early Princes / 20s Pateks etc they are worth very little compared to their...

No, RM001 was the start. Nothing had rally looked like that

before - it was the original vision that Richard had, that he brought to market. That it is limited makes it more special, but that is not the only reason. It would be like owning an early Ferrari, or Maserati, or any exotic car. There is something specia...

Fair point but....

Honestly, what would you rather have? RM001 for purity sake or a 27 for example?

Very very difficult question to answer. And I dont know!

 By: 219 : July 27th, 2010-01:56
A choice, independent of money, I would take the RM001 - for purity sake and because I simply prefer vintage Ferrari's to more modern. But without modern, you have no vintage for tomorrow! This is not intended to take anything away from the RM027 - which ...

Funny really..

 By: chris4 : July 28th, 2010-02:51
..how people assess things differantly, for me its really straightforward, it has to be the 12 everytime in no 1 spot, and that is based purely on the fact I just love the look of the tubular design. Purity or purpose or what came first or what is vintage...

For some reason, the RM012, despite its

innovative tubular design, has never really excited me. Dont know why - horses for courses and all that. Love the RM001, not just because it started it all, but do love the design, and the look. Has it been improved upon - yes and no. Other materials, des...

But have a look at the RM001. Compare it to the RM027

and you will see how far Richard has come, how avant-garde the RM001 still looks, and how this has all been accomplished within the same case shape and movement (time only tourbillon). Genius. As well as the write up from the first moderator of this forum...

Yes the rm001 is a beauty as far as.....

purity of design and is also INCREDIBLY undervalued at present in the market place. I thought long and hard about buying one recently for my collection as it seemed to linger before it was finally snapped up but you can't buy everything you like in life! ...

Richard is lightness and robustness!!!

1,rm27 2,rm9 3,rm6 4,rm1 5,rm12 Because the lightness is a function.
