 By: Maher : April 22nd, 2012-01:41
Hello guys !!! I am thinking about purchasing my first Rolex, and I'm a bit hesitating about getting the brand new yachtmaster with platinum dial&bezel or the GMT 2c !!! Would be much appreciated to have your opinions. and by the way which one holds more ...

Nobody knows about the future value.

I have both. If I could keep only one, it would be without any hesitation the Yacht Master. It's a very special watch and even the corners of the case have been rounded unlike the "standard" Rolex watches. The dial is very special and what I like a lot is...

Dilemma :-)

Well the picture speaks for itself Kari !!! I have a weakness for the yachtmaster as you do , my only problem might be the bezel which can be scratched Vs the ceramic one of the GMT. Best Maher

I bought my M two years ago

and I have been wearing it a lot. If you look at the picture carefully, how many disturbing marks can you find? I can't see any even in the real watch. Best, Kari

As you said

none just by viewing the picture !!! And as mentioned, people don't recognize it at first glance that it's a Rolex. To be honest I don't want somenthing catching too much attention !!! Best Maher

Does my opinion really matter? After all, I am not the one who will pay for it.

Well, I hope so! Honestly and seriously, each of them are great watches and I would not be able to decide which of these I would get... Certainly both. First the GMT II, then the Yacht master. A GMT, and an original Sub. Best of both worlds. As for the va...

I might come to that point...

by getting both of them Which one do you think is more suitable for a suit? Actually, I do like the GMT but that platty dial & red hand... can't describe it Thanks for the feedback Nicolas. Best Maher

...is probably the most comfortable watch you will ever wear. Plus you will never get bored of the dial in changing lights. If you're worried about value buy pre owned.

That dial...

.....then GMT. More discrete. If I had to choose between the two, then GMT because I am just not a fan of the yachty at all. Does that help you? I am guessing not since you probably don't give a hoot what I like or don't like.... I definitely own watches ...

Well...
