Taking into account that all dial indicators of 5396 are similar to 5125 ones, it is logical to implement classic "calatrava" style to mentioned model.

Patek 5125 Wempe vs Patek 5396

 By: BLembkey : December 9th, 2009-15:18
I thought that Patek would eventually come out with a watch like the 5125, but without the Wempe written on the moonphase indicator, and that was one reason why I sold the 5125 that I owned. I felt if Patek did offer an identical watch to the 5125, it wou...

What is the point of the 24 hour indicator outside of a two timezone watch?

It's useful when the owner is adjusting the calendar using the pushers, as it indicates whether it is am or pm. Useful but not essential. Asthetically speaking, the watch would be a lot more attractive IMO if it doesn't have the 24-hour indicator. Mr Ster...

5396 comparison to 5125

 By: jglydon : December 17th, 2009-04:12
Hi Fabio, I attached a merged photo of both the 5125 and 5396. IMO, I think there is many differences beyond just the case. I think the 5125 has more softer fluid lines and the dial (around the sub-second) is much easier on the eyes.. I think the case des...

 By: fabios : December 17th, 2009-07:06
Hi John, thank you for your comparison. I think you are absolutely right: 5125 is much more elegant both in case and in dial and view them side by side what can I say is that 5125 is surely better and much more similar to 3448. On january the wrist test. ...
