Both belong to my favorite watches. Some dirty shots to celebrate the 9 years birthday of Nicolas' 5110P.

...

a very lovely pair

Hi Grisar, Each of the blue dial complements its platinum case and blue strap very well !! They are a dynamic duo. Which one gets more wrist time ? Gordon

Without Tourbillon.

The T version is 5101 which is larger, has a stepped case shape and of course much more expensive ;-)

It looks similar, but ...

the Manta Ray is the Ref. 2554 from the 50s.

Neither :-)

 By: Grisar : November 6th, 2013-07:53
Thank you, Gorden. In fact, neither of them get much wrist time at the moment, I wear 5167A most frequently due to its versatility :-) Both references were introduced in year 2000. The 5110P has a more vintage look compared to the 5100G. Interestingly, th...

Amazing Pair! [nt]

Now I am in serious danger ...

to have a heart attack ... :-) Love them both for what they are! Oliver

Fantastic pair!

My blue three are a bit jealous... Best, Kari ...

They are not jealous..

 By: akitaishi : November 6th, 2013-09:00
just blushing that they are going for some potential hot dating time.

Your three being jealous

That is like Pamela Anderson being jealous of the cleavage of Dolly Parton. Its being jealous on a 'very high level' ;) Best Edmond

Such elegance

can only be found in certain Patek time pieces. Fantastic pair and superb photo! You have sophisticated taste! Best Edmond

Did you call me? ;)

Hey, next time we meet, bring this 10 Days with you, my friend! We'll arrange a photo session. You are killing me with this Watch. All the best, though. :))) Nicolas

Sure, with pleasure.

Next time when I stay a bit longer in Paris, I will let you know earlier.

Absolutely stunning !

5100G is one of my dreams, probably at the top of the list since my other one (5110P) has already become true ! Everything in this 5100G is gorgeous : the case, the dial, the movement. Pure elegance ! Huge congrats for this wonderful pair. Wear them in th...

This pic is not very fair ;-)

Yes indeed ! These 2 watches belong to the most charming "modern" ones ever made by PP and I'm dreaming to have soon these sisters. I'm haunting the 5100G to have the duo. Hope that I will post in asap the same pic. Congratulations ! Best. Didier.

Thank you

for all the comments. One more thing that I would like to share is the efficiency of the Cal 240. Although powered by a tiny gold rotor, the movement winds very efficiently. ...

Cal 240-188

 By: Grisar : November 7th, 2013-07:06
The Cal 240 base remains one of my very few favorite automatic movements. The layout of the bridges, the engravings, the gold mini rotor and of course the size of the movement all make it truly unique and attractive. ...

What is not to like?!

Thanks, for sharing! Oliver

5100 movement

 By: Grisar : November 10th, 2013-07:11
The rectangular movement of the ref. 5100 has a perfect balance. It is indeed not a easy job with two big barrels, especially in the form shape. Patek manages to build this high performance movement with traditional bridge layouts and clever deployment of...

U are stronger than me ;-)

 By: dirost : November 10th, 2013-08:55
Grisar seems to like torturing his little friends with his pictures ! But he may be right because this movement is a real killer. He's got a perfect watch on both sides, my friend, and both of us know it...

Your comments make me feel very guilty ~

 By: Grisar : November 10th, 2013-16:45
and I am not in a better status. Have been looking for a "Panerai from Patek - Nicolas", the 5070.

"not a easy job with two big barrels"

No, not at all ... ...

with navy blue strap. The stitch is not very nice, too bright and purple in the sunshine. Medium silvery grey or same dark blue could be a better choice. ...
