Oct 14, 2014,11:09 AM

Hi All,

In addition to the various limited editions pieces 5175, 5275, 5575, etc., there are more !! These are artistry pieces and include enamel, marquetry, etc. dials.

Got this photos of an enamel dal for a worldtimer from a Chinese post.

Looks lovely to me.

What do you think ??

Gordon

Love how the PP logo is on the dial instead of engraved on the case, too.

Sorry! Oliver

Could it be...

 By: Ornatus-Mundi : October 14th, 2014-13:18
that there is a sapphire over the enamel? I think I see a shadow of the brand name... BUT: truly great timepieces! Thanks for sharing, Magnus

I saw one or two pics indeed

and the work looks as perfect as in the past. To be seen in the metal if one day we have the chance to :) Cheers, Mark

to make it short, you picked out my personal favorite. Cheers, Oliver

For a World Time, I prefer something related to universality.

 By: amanico : October 14th, 2014-22:01
But you will tell me that Genev is universal! ;) No, I prefer a world map, a continent, or, why not a representation of a sky... Which leads me to Wonder if I like the new WT.... Best, Nicolas

Wow!

The new grail for sure!!! Is it a one off like the charity Geneva fountain one? Are there other enamel designs for the 175th as well?

This piece is a gift the Stern's make to themselfs and other keen sailors

By: COUNT DE MONET : October 16th, 2014-13:50
I am not 100% sure but I believe the Stern's are sailors? And as many Patek owners will also be sailors it makes sense to me to put some boots on lake Geneva on the dial. Just a thought. Best Moritz

Moritz, I like your thought ...

and love the topic :-) Oliver

Please help us here Oliver :-)

By: COUNT DE MONET : October 17th, 2014-02:25
Is it just a thought or is it true? Am I wrong in interpreting this watch as I do? I really need confirmation of my thought here :-)! Best Moritz

I'm not Oliver but

I can confirm you your thought after the event, I took a drink in Geneva with a friend who is the CEO of another brand watch and showed him the pictures I took and my surprise to see a boat on an enemal watch. He told me that Philippe Stern is better know...

How could I forgett: can you plesae organise me a 5975 P, please?

I am well impressed by how good connections some of the Purists have to the watch industry! My inquiry is serious, though ... Best Moritz

Very nice Gordon!

I am sure you love this one! :) You have a weakness for nice enamel dials and also for worldtimes so I am sure this one is a strong poison for you lol! Thanks for sharing my friend Cheers Robin

Of course this enamel dial is such a pleasant surprise for me, but there are...

 By: GLau : October 16th, 2014-10:21
...more artistry pieces with dials made of enamel, marquetry, engraving, etc. Let us know if you have info on them Thanks Gordon

Great piece

And great idea to make the enamel portrayal of Geneva where the watch was actually made.

Hmmmm...

Beautiful piece, but I think I would prefer the world map on my world timer :-)... Sean
