New daily beater
After wearing a Breitling for 20 years that was permanently borrowed by my daughter, I spent several months viewing almost every model of most of the brands on this forum. Every trip to a major city here in the US or Europe had a priority of visiting factory boutiques or large dealers. My local AD acquired my favorite for me, now my rugged daily watch for 4 months and counting.

Would also be my daily wear from the PP line. The annual calendar is legible, has a nice and interesting complication not too common, and luminous hands to be read at night as well. Size is perfect for formal and casual, and the pink gold case with silver...

What made you go for the 5146 over the 5396? Beautiful piece. At one point, I was considering to own the 5146G with slate dial for myself. A beautiful watch to be kept away from your daughter until she achieves something significant!

The idea of a Daily beater Patek is very appealing. For this purpose, I tend to prefer WG. More under the radar.

This is also takes on the role of 'daily beater' in the mornings on most days... Usually over a 2-week period I'll rotate with my 5127R Calatrava, and with my steel AP on 12-hr basis. Here's my 5127R with matching Patek cuffs. ...and my AP ...
