I needed some time to formulate my answer.

First of all, thank you Mark for a nicely written report.
This morning my first reaction was to call to Patek and that I did. I asked if they plan to do something because a "Troll" is spreading funny pictures claiming that those are the 40th Anniversary Nautilus. The answer was, as you can imagine, that it's a real story...
Once Thierry Stern told that the size of the watches is bigger than in the past because the size of the people has increased a lot during the couple of last generations. Now it looks like Homo Sapiens grew a lot after last Baselworld..
My commentsin short are:
1. I will not get these Anniversary watches. I find them totally tasteless.
2. I am reconsidering my future watch purchases. The direction Patek Philippe has taken is totally opposite to my taste.
3. I think the great heritage of Nautilus is spoiled and I will sell a part of my Nautilus bunch. I will keep just two or three.
4. I am seriously considering reducing my "Patek portfolio" a lot. The company has chosen a direction which does not respect the heritage of the Brand. Furthermore, taking into account the new "style", I'm afraid that the
"value" of Patek Philippe watches will not hold on the long run.
Mark, I tried to be polite and constructive. When I spoke with Patek in the morning, my language was not as nice as I am using now.
To summarise: I am very deeply disappointed.
I understand that Patek Philippe want to make more money and find new buyers. But I am sure, based on some discussions today, that I'm not the only old and loyal client who is very disappointed.
However, one must find something positive: the boxes are nice. I wonder why the tasteless 1976 - 40 - 2016 text was not engraved to the plate of the box. Why to spoil also the dial?
I managed to write quite a lot taking into account that I am basically speechless.
Best, Kari
