Oliver, I think you capture the essence of what these pieces mean....

......perfectly.
Yes, Patek have created an "instrument" here. In my initial reaction I called it a purity of form. Nothing more. Nothing less. It is as it is. You either like it or you dont. I think the dial aesthetic is beautiful to my eye. I think the case design is similarly beautiful. I have no doubt that this watch on the wrist will be breath-taking. Now, would I split hair to argue that it should have been a manual movement? Possibly. I dont think the extra-cost is a good reason to not have done this, but actually that would be my only argument against this piece...and for me that is not a big enough detraction away from the other positive features of the watch. I applied for one.....I did not get one. I suspect the 2nd market price will be absurd. For me, a shame as I think the watch is superb and would have made a perfect pairing with my 5070P. The 5975P was the one I liked most by style.
Thank you for this report......it has reminded me of what I missed!

One can watch a classic brand making watches on and on again, on the basis of an unchanged patern or stricly following some editing combinations seen in the past. Or he can accept different matching constructions and remember that, before the old 40's, 60...
I like to close ups on your wrist in particular. Yes, it looks very nice in yellow gold which would be my choice too although I am not a chrono fan per se. But a chrono such quirky and noble at the same time is a must have. Many thanks for the post. Morit...

from PP you won´t find in stock, at least not without serious relationship as a well-known customer. The P version is limited to 100 pieces and rumours say it was sold out in one day. "Am I a PP dealer?" No, not at all. To be a PuristSPro moderator means ...
