Patek Philippe 5980. It's been a very long time I didn't see one.
5711, 5912, 5980... When they were unveiled in 2006, I opted for the 5712. But I had the 5980 in mind.
3 years after, I sold the 5712 to fund the 5070G. I didn't regret it, But I still had the 5980 in mind, which I consider to be the coolest Nautilus.
I came close to get one, during all these years, but for some reasons, I didn't make it.
Still, when I see one, I cannot resist, I have to put it on my wrist for some time.
Which happened some weeks ago, white we gathered with its owner, our dear Bill.

As I await its return from Geneva... hopefully very soon... lovely photos you took! I have had a 5712 as well and it is a superb piece, but in terms of sporty cool factor it is nowhere near the 5980...

The heft of the watch ...
is like wearing a precious metal timepiece. It was a craze when launched in 2006 being the iconic first generation Nautilus with chronograph.
