Unbiased 5296

As a background, I LOVE the 240 movement.  I think it's just the coolest caliber in the market today. However  think the 6000 is a poorly designed watch.  It just looks to me that they took the 5000 and said "this is too small, how do we make it bigger" and crammed a date pointer on it.  It looks unbalanced and, to me, ugly, kinda the unwanted child of a Aquanaut(dial design) and a 5000(movement and related off-center seconds)

Calatrava is the name of a famous spanish architect: Santiago Calatrava(check the net). The design stems from the above watch from the 30's - I believe a Ref. 2096. So the 5296 is a real classic design in a new case. As the original was steel, I preferred...

Ok.. I get the 5296 is a nice watch, but check out the new dial of the 6000G.. I had a choice between the 2 and the 240 and the new dial sealed the deal for me....
