Considering I don’t know the lady in question. 😂 More seriously, I have been looking at this the past few days and wondering. Perhaps if the case was smaller I may be more committed. It’s 40mm. I don’t own a boat, and I don’t sail. And I’m not particularl...

They offer several other variations, the artwork is amazing and this is one of the softer, more versatile dials, look up Milo Manara for further inspiration
LOL!!!

her hair seems to echo Botticelli's Venus.
No. Rule of thumb…

…Just because you can, it doesn’t mean you should. Applies to watch buying and dial artwork.
Of course.

To me, a dial like this makes a lot more sense than some surfer on a beach in CA or any of the just released Patek Americana themed rare handcrafts. See Patrick Y’s post over on the Patek forum.
Well it's very suggestive if you ask me.

The lighthouse appears phallic when combined with her pose and also the way she is grabbing the tiller. I imagine with this particular artist that's the idea. I've seen the other dials of his and I think that series is nicer. Just my two cents.
Speaking of phallic

The movement on the kudoke clearly mirrors a male structure ! I love the dials but that backside has me puzzled
I don't get it...

This and the Patek surfer dude watches...they look like drug store novelty watches. C'mon.... In my opinion you'd hafta have too many watches and way too much money to go for them. Although I did once have a Lionel Train watch where the engine went around...

Quartz watch where the Weiner is the second marker that travels around the watch. The UN we are looking at retailed at 44,200 Euro is memory serves.
What you are not getting is the process, the artistry behind the dials.

I think you see that in person it changes your view. Now whether one thinks it’s “worth it” or not that’s another matter; Patek’s rare handcrafts are all close on or exceeding $100,000. Other brands maybe half that or less, the watch in the post above ret...

I remember back at SIHH when these were launched, and the Ulysse Nardin PR team jokingly asked me if I was 21 years old before they would let me into the press conference. There were several works of artistry, some were very graphic showing a lady swimmer...
Oh wow.

I remember seeing the former owner's post about why he posted this for sale. Didn't know I'd find it here. Well, I think it's a cool piece; go for it if you like it!
I think it’s a pass.

As you know I’ve been looking at some others, Chopard, but mostly everyday wearable dials. This one for some reason caught my eye.
