How to revive a "dead" watch?
I suddenly found my cal.1120Q dead after several months in the bank vault. It ran for a minute or two and then stopped. I've tried manual winding it a bit and have tried gently shaking it, but it is still not moving. While it was running I set the watch to the correct time and left it on my desk.
The watch was bought new from an AD in 2005, and was last serviced/checked by Richemont in mid-2006. Is there anything I could try to revive it short of sending it in for service again? Incidentally, all my other watches in the vault are fine, but I am not sure if it is a good place to store watches.
