I have been to the JCK and couture as an exhibitor for the past 13 years.
For the first time this year I did not exhibit (our new brand, DeNovo Swiss, will debut next month)
The traffic this year was poor, and from what I could tell the Swiss section at the JCK was deserted - no traffic at all.
I wonder how these exhibitors did in terms of sales ROI.
The new show at the Trump hotel was nice, but as most of the retailers saw it as a "out of the way" location, I think they too saw very little to none traffic.
All in all I counted 5 shows - "Swiss by JCK" at the Mandalay Bay suites, "Swiss Luxury" at the JCK second floor, "Clockwork" at JCK main floor, "Couture Time" at the Encore, and "Watch Market Show" at the Trump.
Too many shows, too far apart, and none of them offers a serious watch retailer appeal.
But, on the other hand, its Vegas...
