Patek Philippe: update

Just to give an update. My AD says my watch needs a complete overhaul and they can do it for just less than 2k CAD. I ask them to send it to Patek and so I guess I'll see what Patek says - my AD says they will send it to Geneva. (My watch did show signs of slowing down).

Patek Philippe: question on routine service

Hello I brought my 5712 back to my AD for routine service since it's around 6 yr old. I was informed they may be able to service it locally instead of sending it back to patek. They are an AD but I don't think they are an authorized service center. Since this my first time having a Patek serviced, I

Patek Philippe: WG

Thanks! Actually WG with the slate dial would have been what I preferred but I just can't find it anywhere close to me.

Patek Philippe: 5146g

In the end I went with 5146G. (Please pardon my poor pix of the watch - like all pateks, they all look better real life) It was sort of already made for me because the 5960 had been sold. Originally, I wanted the R but the G turns out to have a versatile understated elegance that I really appreciate

Patek Philippe: winding

I'm still waiting for my 5146G to arrive. But I do have watch winders which I use periodically for my 5712/1a. I also wind it manually. I keep my watch in different places around the house because I'm paranoid about burglars. My house was broken into a few yrs back. Paul

Patek Philippe: 2 watches

I'm sort of like you in that I was thinking about having just 2 watches. I have a 5712 and now have the 5146g on order. Now I'm thinking that I may not be able to stop at 2 watches...

Patek Philippe: AC

In terms of the look and legibility of Patek's AC, I like the 5205 the most. However, the 5146 wins me over because the power indicator is important to me. I think both have the "patek" look. As for the 5396, it's very straight forward dial but the problem is that a lot of other manufacturers produc

Patek Philippe: content

Oliver After getting my 5712/1a I thought of getting an annual calendar. So it took me a few years to save up some money and I was quite content ordering the 5146. However, Patek had to put the 5960 complication in SS and lower their prices - all of which are leaving me to have seconds thoughts abou
