I've been looking at the 5065, 5066 and the 5165 and am trying to decide between them but I am confused by the size measurements. Since you own both the 5066 and the 5165 perhaps youi can shed some light on this issue. I haven't been able to see two at the same time.
the patek information says the case diameters are as follows:
5066 36,2 x 34 mm
5065 39,3 x 37 mm
5165 38 mm (10-4 o'clock)
the diagram for the 5165 on the patek website shows the 38 mm running horizontally across the watch on the same latitude as the stem, which to confuse things further does not appear to be necessarily the same as the distance from 10-4 o'clock
As best I can tell the 34 mm measurement on the 5066 is more or less the measurement corresponding to the 38 mm on the 5165, suggesting that the overall difference is 4mm, not 2mm. Are you able to confirm this? Do you happen to know what the 36,2 measures? . A picture of both on your wrist next to each other and the circumfrence of your wrist would really be appreciated. Thanks for your help
