The one I bought was the 5065J with an additional J bracelet (sold separately at the time), but it looks the same as the original 5065/1J.
In fact, the dial of the 5065J matches the atmosphere of the replacement hands better than the faded tritium index version (discontinued in the late 90’s).
Some parts of the D buckle are made of white gold.
I also like the smaller size 5066A. At that time, tropical bands and bracelets were compatible (in terms of size), which was convenient. The situation is getting tougher now.

Do the 5066 and 5065 have dials of the same size?
Or put another way, is the difference in diameter / size between the references entirely attributable to the case? I find the 5066 "easy-going" and immediately attractive. The 5165 also. But I have not experienced the 5065. Good day, chk
I think these look better than the Nautilus
After having owned a Nautilus, I kinda regret I didn’t get the Aquanaut instead. That is a beauty and I kinda like that older style bracelet.
