My choice would be the pocket watch with the man and woman dancing on the stone-paved street. The artistry in all of them is truly tremendous. Thank you for taking the time to share these here, Filip
You are welcome Filip !

Excellent choice with the Lion… I hope you do get the reference that you ask for! All are remarkable. Do you know if there are any marquetry watch references? Would be interesting to see what the theme is this year. I believe there was a hawk last year? T...
I like the chameleons a lot

Colors and drawings seems to be exploding ... The only thing i am a bit disapointed about is the fact that the moment i saw it, i have called the Salons (in Paris) immediately to share my interest and ask to be put on the "list" for one of these (i prefer...
Thanks ..

I believe it is far from being done but i guess if you never try you will never been considered seriously ... so
I have absolutely no idea.

I seriously don’t know how I would even begin to select one. Not sure I could wear a watch with a Bi plane on its dial. I am still trying to digest. I guess I would know if I saw them all in the flesh. Still on the fence 🙈. M.
Stunning ! …

I went on Tuesday. The pieces I enjoyed most were the zebras and this one below. This one has a nice treat (shadow of a small lizard) that is best seen when looking from far away rather than closely. Here I zoomed in but the picture was taken further away...
wow ! Thanks for

pointing out the lizard which I missed !
What a feast of artisanal handicrafts!

Love the Zebras - almost Escher-esque! I may have to be content with the one below I can't imagine ever getting my hands on one of these! Credit: Swatch ...
Outstanding pair!

Only one is achievable for me
What a glorious series

Patek really pulled all the stops on this line I would choose the wooden cheetah - love this intricate marquetry and the skill is up there with enamel (even beyond?)
They are different skills. To me, the marquetry

is great and mistakes can be corrected, whereas enamel once placed in the oven anything can happen which cannot be reversed. Both are great and just go for what you like best. Definitely less marquetry than enamel.
Thank you for this breathtaking post!

All the pieces are simply mesmerising works of art! My favourite has to be the circus clock! Love the way the clock face seems to be enclosed within, the tent below, and the performer on the top right corner! Is it a 3D illusion or is it more? Fantastic! ...
Thank you Gordon!

One day perhaps, but as an art lover myself I love your posts on Patek's enamel pieces. What I meant was under the dome shows so much three-dimensional depth that it almost appears real. A pleasure to look at from your photo, and can only imagine what it ...
Dear Gordon, your Rousseau Lion by AP is certainly my favorite.

The reason being it’s interesting/ complex composition together with numerous variations in colour, especially over the green plants. Among the new collection, I like the zebra in GE case most, due to details and subtle colour gradient in the strips of ze...
