Was certainly looking forward to the new Aquanaut. Still not sure what is the new diameter, which for many will be the key issue.
At first glance, I don't like the look of the new "engraved" dial vs the old dial with more depth/relief of the markings. Also not yet sure about the new numerals, apparently with the luminous centers. Perhaps a more modern look which may be appropriate for this watch, but I really like the more classic feel/color of the numerals on the old version. A couple small points--they eliminated the "3" next to the date window and reduced to a single index at 12:00.
Can't quite yet put my finger on the differences in the strap, but it appears to come out from the case differently, and gives me the impression it may not hug the wrist as nicely in this area.
The big winner for me so far is the 5159.
Regarding other references--no more models with the in-house chrono movement?
Thanks Suitbert!
