Patek, very tough for the ladies..
I honestly think Patek has a "long" way to go before winning over the ladies. My wife has three jeweled Pateks.. Her favorite is the 4973 .. All are quartz watches, not because she doesn't appreciate haute horology, but because constant winding of your watch can chafe your fingertips and break fingernails. If Patek ever wants to get serious about winning over the ladies (in the way that they have won over men) they need to come up with a more compact automatic movement and place it in a better selection of feminine jeweled cases. Judging by the response of my wife and her friends, the 4973 is the best thing they have in the current lineup aside from the jeweled 24's... Now they need another 10 case-styles in their own creative vein. They should really drop the 4980/1/2 and 4991/2 .. Every woman I know has flatly commented that these are the ugliest watches they have ever seen. Why make them?
